The J.M. Smucker Company was founded in 1897 when the Company's namesake and founder sold his first product--apple butter -- from the back of a horse-drawn wagon. 

Today, over a century later, the Company is the market leader in fruit spreads, peanut butter, shortening and oils, ice cream toppings, health and natural foods, and beverages in North America under such iconic brands as Smucker's®, Jif®, Folgers®, and Crisco®.

Smucker Foodservice is the foodservice division of The J.M. Smucker Company that specializes in meeting the needs of foodservice professionals. Its family of brands includes Smucker's®, Dickinson’s®, Knott’s Berry Farm®, Folgers®, Jif®, Crisco®, Eagle Brand®, etc.  

The Company remains rooted in the Basic Beliefs of Quality, People, Ethics, Growth and Independence established by its founder and namesake more than a century ago. Since 1998, the Company has appeared on FORTUNE Magazine's annual listing of the 100 Best Companies to Work For in the United States, ranking number one in 2004.
